I recently had the opportunity to interview Connor from Falmouth University, one of our valued clients at GS Engineering. During the interview, I aimed to ask candid questions to gain honest feedback on our services—what works well for them, what they value about our approach, and areas where we can improve.
What specific issues or pain points were you looking to address when you first considered a service provider for your equipment?
We were seeking a more comprehensive and inclusive contract to prevent unexpected charges and ensure faster engineer response times.
What stood out to you about our services compared to other providers you considered?
You provided quicker response times and an all-inclusive contract that covers all of our equipment, eliminating the need to manage multiple service providers.
How did you find the transition to our company?
The process was straightforward and efficient. All of our equipment was immediately assessed, making call logging simple since your team had access to location and item details through the asset numbers. Additionally, having an up-to-date inventory of all our equipment was valuable for our records.
How has your experience been working with our engineers and admin staff?
Your engineers are always polite and considerate, working seamlessly alongside our kitchen staff during service. The team in your office is professional and efficient when handling any issues that arise. We also find it valuable and beneficial to have your Managing Director attend the quarterly meetings, as his technical expertise are invaluable and it’s clear that his hands-on approach makes a real difference.
Do you feel well-informed about the condition and performance of your equipment through our regular maintenance reports?
Your engineers always make an effort to inform the appropriate staff about the status of the equipment. However, receiving the job sheets automatically via your job management system once the work is complete is incredibly helpful, along with having a direct line to our Contracts Manager for any questions.
Is there anything specific we’ve done that has exceeded your expectations?
The professionalism and efficiency you’ve demonstrated have been excellent, along with the seamless transition in taking over the contract.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience working with us?
Overall, working with the GS Engineering team has been a highly positive experience. From the beginning, we’ve valued the collaborative and transparent approach you’ve brought to the partnership. Your team is always responsive to any queries, making it much easier for us to coordinate on-site activities and schedule visits as needed.
We’ve also enjoyed seeing the value of our partnership grow over time, especially through the regular feedback loops and quarterly meetings where we can address any challenges and identify areas for improvement. Your commitment to maintaining high operational standards aligns well with our own values, and that has made working together both productive and rewarding.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue supporting your operations and ensuring that your catering equipment remains in optimal condition, minimizing downtime and contributing to the success of our kitchen operations.
