St Mellion Golf Club

St Mellion is a beautiful resort in Cornwall with various heating systems that runs the hot water and heating for the grounds. From the hotel rooms, cottages and lodges, to the hotel club and spa.

Out with the old

The pool room had existing BOSS water heaters. One of the water heaters was completely out of commission and the other faulted and became beyond economical repair. The existing units were using energy unnecessarily and had a 82.2% efficiency rating (rated D).

In with the new

We installed three instantaneous Rinnai units which left the site with a mass energy saving. These new units only run when needed by demand therefore saving energy by not constantly running when it’s not required. These new Rinnai boilers now have a 95.9% efficiency (A rated).

Worthy investment

With the energy saving alone, site are able to fully recover the boiler investment within 5 short years.
